Some stuff from people who live in a galaxy far, far, far, away…
These next 10 are of a very simple yet very cool children’s bed:

A fire that happened in a charity thrift store window in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK on Christmas day was caused by sunlight refracting through a snow globe that ignited ‘reindeer food’ and the fake snow material in their window display.
Christmas dinner preparations were put on hold as occupants of neighbouring properties were evacuated.
But it was soon back to the turkey and stuffing as firefighters put the flames out within 10 minutes of arriving on the scene. Fire services said there was “severe fire damage to the shop window display, heat damage to the window and severe smoke damage to the entire shop.”
After the Christmas Day mishap, members of the public were warned to be vigilant about any snow globes they may have in their own homes (especially if you keep reindeer).
When Adam Buxton saw his young daughter looking through a book about Star Wars, he struck up a conversation and discovered she has an adorably unexpected opinion of Princess Leia’s time with Jabba the Hutt, with the focus being mainly on the classic slave outfit.
Eight years ago today Pablo was walking out of the Cole Café, laughing at a joke, took a sip of his morning latté, and left this mortal coil.
There is a tribute page to him on SF Gate:

In 5 weeks I’ll be in the Yucatan and diving in a cenote is on my must list of things to do there.
Here’s the photographer’s description of this magical image:
“Timed right, diving a cenote can be a truly magical experience, hugely rewarding and unlike most other scuba adventures,” writes Terry Steeley, who dove on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. “I had dived many times at the Taj Mahal cenote, but today was different: Navigating my way through the tunnels to Bill’s Hole provided a real treat. The intimately lit cavern layered against energetically dancing light beams was breathtaking. Indeed, a very special dive.”
