I have figured out how to post directly from my phone. Which is good because the Yucatan has better cell phone coverage than most of the Bay Area (ironic, ain’t it?).

However, WiFi coverage is spotty at best. I just found a pizzeria here in Chicxulub with excellent speed though.

The phone loaded posts are easy to spot. The pictures don’t have real or explanatory captions and may contain typos and bad grammar (which I will edit at every opportunity).

And, while I discourage using the ‘Like’ button here or on FB or any other social media (it’s how they track your interests, politics, attitudes, commercial interests, etc.) even though I have paid to keep this space ad-free. I would like you to feel free to make comments.

I have been trying to get a pic that shows the impressive size of the 6 km long pier that was built to create a deep water port for the export of sisal in the early and mid 20th c. It is 4 lanes wide.
Note that the trucks you see are full-size semis and the black things at the end are ‘AT-AT’ container cranes.

I know just the person I’m giving this to.
