Homies Go Low

I found this 2001 trophy from Lowrider Clothing on the corner of Haight & Ashbury on my way to work many years ago. When David Gonzales’ ‘Homies’ first came out in the early Noughts I spent a small fortune collecting this full set of the 1st edition of them from vending machines in the Mission

I had a brass plate engraved for the base. It reads:
STAN FLOURIDE 1ST PLACE HOMIES COLLECTION

My two previous attempts to create this piece (over 10 years ago) using silicon glue and an emotionally-troubled adhesive (that’s the PC way to describe Krazy Glue) failed. I hope the hot glue I used today will hold up better.
